The Technology

The Benton and Franklin Public Utility Districts have created an extremely high quality fiber optic network in the Tri-Cities. Using this fantastic resource businesses can now link multiple office locations together in a wide area network (WAN) and obtain superior Internet access that so many businesses need today.

Applications
Interoffice/WAN networking - connect multiple locations to your local area network (LAN), video conferencing, small to large business Internet solutions, file sharing, remote access solutions and much more. Fiber services can serve many employees - we have a solution for the smallest or even the largest business.
Why OWT:
We know that there are a number of broadband choices available to consumers and businesses today. Some of these choices have a price advantage and some offer greater quality. OWT has been offering Internet services for 10 years and is the oldest locally-owned ISP in the Tri-Cities area for one main reason: we have always offered the highest quality and greatest value.

Some providers know they can build their market share by offering a great price and hope that you won't really use your connection much and the quality will be adequate for most. We do not take that approach - at OWT we know what you want to do on the net and how you want to use it and design our systems and service options to meet that need.

Availability

Both the Benton PUD and Franklin PUD are expanding their fiber networks constantly. Currently availability is limited to a core area in Kennewick, Pasco and now Prosser. No service is available or planned for Richland. Please fill out our eligibility check form and we can let you know the likelihood of fiber availability in your area.

Service levels available range from 1Mbps all the way up to 600Mbps. Service levels are symmetrical so upload and download potentials are identical.

Pricing
There are many service levels available using the local fiber network. Also, you may have one service level between two locations and another service level to the Internet. Since the pricing is somewhat complex we will provide you that once your eligibility has been confirmed and we have discussed the needs of your business. This is a very high quality service and, while this is a fantastic value, you should be aware that pricing for fiber and Internet services begins at $199 per month. Also, the farther your location is from the existing fiber network the greater the potential construction charges to bring fiber to your location. We can obtain an installation quote for you prior to any commitment on your part.
